Review
This game really surprised me after a less than stellar experience in it's predecessor. You start in the bottom right corner of a map that has randomly generated elements across it that vary each time you play. There is always a castle in the top left that has an evil necromancer. Your goal is to build and manage a group of adventurers and lead them to defeat the necromancer. Management involves keeping enough food, paying your hired hands, figuring out to carry the weight of what you need, and keeping the right supplies on hand to get across the terrain. For the first part of the game you wander around exploring towns, castles, and various ruins on the map. During the first part, the focus is on figuring out how to best manage a group while building up resources. At some point, an oracle location will appear on the map. This is where you get the weapon that will allow you to enter the castle and defeat the necromancer. The game doesn't take too long to defeat and has some replayability with each adventure having unique maps and events along the way. I really enjoyed figuring out how to best start and manage my team.
