Review

This is the second console football game released coming out the year after Football for the Odyssey 2. Its a two player four-on-four football game. It is the first to feature a vertical field. There are five offensive and five defensive formations to choose from that must be recalled from memory. This is easily doable and keeps your opponent from knowing your play. Passing is easier but less realistic in this game because you can control the movement of the ball while it is in the air. Its a fun wrinkle and you'll need it to get around defenders and into the receiver's hands. You can't throw the ball over a defender's head. Any play can be a pass play as long as you are behind the line of scrimmage and all of your players are eligible receivers. The game lasts five minutes which is plenty of time for a good match. Punting is allowed but no field goals. The game supports tackling in the end zone for a safety. The are downs and a first down marker denoted by a line on the field.
