Review
Frogger for the Atari 2600 is a faithful and surprisingly solid port of the arcade classic, capturing the core gameplay of guiding frogs across busy roads and treacherous rivers. Despite the graphical limitations of the 2600, the visuals are clear enough to distinguish hazards, and the controls are tight and responsive. The charming tension of hopping to safety remains intact, and the game’s pick-up-and-play nature makes it endlessly replayable. While not as colorful or detailed as the arcade version, this adaptation does a great job of delivering the essence of Frogger to home players.
