• Know When to Hit: If your hand totals 8 or less, always hit. Hit on a soft 17 (Ace and 6) or less, as there is a high chance of improving your hand without busting.
• Know When to Stand: Stand when your hand totals 17 or higher. If you have a hand totaling 12-16 and the dealer shows a 2-6, stand; the dealer has a higher chance of busting.
• Avoid Insurance Bets: Insurance is generally not a good bet, as the odds are not in your favor. It’s better to play your hand without taking insurance.
