Monkeyshines

Review
Players control monkeys inside a multi-level playfield filled with platforms. The goal is to tag and "zap" other monkeys while bouncing off the walls and floors. The movement mechanics of the monkeys are a standout feature. Players must time their jumps and positioning carefully to hit opponents while avoiding getting tagged back once the monkeys turn red. The game can be played in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Multiplayer is the way to go. You can play either two or three player cooperative play. In two player, you can give each other a boost and your tag score is cumulative. You can also sabotage your partner by kicking the monkey you just tagged at them (if you are that type of friend). The three player mode is similar but the third person plays on the keyboard and can modify the monkey bars to help the team. This is notably the first console game to feature a cooperative multiplayer mode with more than two players.
