1. About RetroSlayer

RetroSlayer provides retro video game reviews, gameplay videos, screenshots, and related editorial content for informational and entertainment purposes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have the consent of a parent/guardian) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Content

Unless otherwise noted, the Service and all content we create and publish—such as reviews, articles, original video compilations, site design, logos, and text—are owned by RetroSlayer or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

RetroSlayer may reference third-party trademarks, game titles, characters, logos, and other proprietary materials. All such trademarks and copyrights are the property of their respective owners. Any use is for commentary, criticism, and/or identification purposes.

5. License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to interfere with the Service’s security, integrity, or performance (including through hacking, scraping, or DDoS).

However, by submitting content, you grant RetroSlayer a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting/display), distribute, and display such content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit your content and that your submissions do not infringe any third-party rights.

8. Copyright and DMCA Notice

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any content on RetroSlayer infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to us with the following:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  • The URL(s) or sufficient information to locate the allegedly infringing material.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

10. Advertisements, Affiliate Links, and Sponsorships

RetroSlayer may display advertisements or participate in affiliate marketing programs, which means we may earn a commission if you click on or make purchases through certain links. Sponsored content, when present, will be identified as such where appropriate. Your interactions with advertisers, affiliates, and sponsors are solely between you and the applicable third party.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetroSlayer and its owners, contributors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (c) any content obtained from the Service; or (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

In no event will RetroSlayer’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid to us (if any) to use the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RetroSlayer and its owners, contributors, affiliates, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your User Submissions (if any), including any claim that your content infringes or misappropriates the rights of any third party.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, the license granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including, without limitation, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law).

18. Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution first. If you have a dispute with RetroSlayer, you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve the dispute informally by emailing support@retroslayer.com.

Venue. To the extent permitted by law, any legal action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in theUnited States of America, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RetroSlayer regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

21. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
